I am primarily a high school teacher in the subjects of IB Visual Arts, Studio Arts and Film. However, I do have years of experience facilitating workshops for adults in the medium of watercolor, and I am an IB Visual Arts Examiner for the IBO.
MY TEACHING PHILOSOPHY
In my experience as an arts educator and artist, I believe it is best to extend students’ experience of learning into authentic environments. In addition to classroom lessons, I am an avid promoter of gallery visits, guest lecturers and community gallery partnerships for my students. This teaching philosophy has led to confident students who are aware of the impact they can have on their peers, school and local community through their visual art.
